This Rush 72 5.11 Tactical Backpack is made of black nylon, which is coated for water resistance. It is a 72-hour backpack featuring contoured shoulder straps and a sternum strap to comfortably secure it on your back. The bag weighs 5.25 pounds when empty. It has two compression straps on its exterior for a compact load. The exterior also features two front pockets and two side pockets that close with zippers. Sturdy and very well-made
I really like this brand. There are a number of sizes of the bag. It's great for camping, day to day use or a bug out bag. Each of the black stripes is an elastic band that can hold items and the front part is separate if you want to take it off. Make sure you need this much room! The rush 72 is tank. Seriously, this is designed for heavy loads!
This thing is a beast of a pack! Loads of room, really just a huge amount of room. I can carry a full usmc 2 man combat tent just in the expandable load carrying space alone, and that compartment still has room for more, im tightening the straps around it. It has plenty of space for everything i could need/want to bring with me, and even has left over room for plenty of other things. Its fV £ing crazy how much room this thing has. Fully compatible with any MOLLE (or non-molle) attachment, Providing 3 times as much carrying space if you do it right (try mounting the 5.11 rush12 on the front of it. It can actually work though 😆) you could really carry an elephant with this thing. And its entire family 🤣 probably has the strength for it too - i wouldnt doubt if it could carry 100 lbs. i can tell this behemoth is going to last for years and years if i treat it right. One more thing - if you arent a fan of the drainage grommets on the bottom, just use some chicago screws and rubber washers to seal it off, providing a way to unplug them if need be. Or you could use permatex for a more permanent solution. Could really use some load carrying straps on the underside, bottom of the pack. Probably wouldnt be difficult to rig something like that. USGI Shoulder strap pad additions also work great on this, but not necessary as the straps are pretty tough already. Enforcing the top carrying handle with steel rope and pvc isnt a bad idea either! This backpack kicks ass. Very comfortable to wear and a pocket/pouch for everything Even one for wet clothes. Everything in this pack is easily accessible. Very nice product and will definitely last forever. However, it's big - very big. For reference, the Rush24 is more what you would consider standard sized, and the Rush12 only looks right on a child. great bag at a great price
I was eyeing this model for a long time, and when an opportunity for a used one came along I jumped at it. It's always risky buying used anything sight unseen, but this product is exactly as described and in even better condition than I expected. It is indeed a very big bag but that's exactly what I was looking for. It's the kind of bag where you can pack what you need and have room for anything else that might come along. If you pack it to the gills from the get-go you better be in great shape lugging it around.
