Great for Dulcimers too!!
I have a custom shop dulcimer that didn’t have strap buttons. Every other brand looked cheesy and poorly made. These were the only ones that looked nice enough to put on my dream dulcimer. I even installed them myself, don’t you think that caused me some extreme angst. But...Piece of cake to install!! I put blue painters tape at the drill point, measured and marked the installation point, made a small dent in the wood to start the drill so it wouldn’t bounce or travel away from the hole, and then slowly started the drill and it worked great. I just started the button screw by hand and finished with a screwdriver with special bits, not philips or flathead(!). These are great and highly recommend them!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hell of a difference from the originals. I use a thick padded strap on my bass and the previous locks were hard to unlock as the pull peg, for lack of a better word, was pretty small so I pretty much had to pull it with my finger tips. The price is way too high. They probably make millions of these in china for nickles. But if you can find them cheaper. Do get them. My V kept getting unhooked while playing and it was a nightmare having it fall to the ground. Luckily it was strong as a monster.
