Fun way to pass time.
The mega drive came boxed with 1k games on a tf card. The games all work though some are on there more than once. Great thing is you are able to download more games onto card or other cards, the console as stated also takes cartridges of original megadrive. A good nostalgia trip, decent graphics and easy to start up. If you're into retro gaming in a big way then it may not be the console for you. The picture quality is pretty low but I suspect that can be remedied with a better quality AV cable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

SEGA Mega Drive 2 review
For the price it's ok, the controllers are the best part of this package, nice and chunky with 6 buttons and the cartridge function works fine. It emulates the games well but the sound/tone of the games are slightly off. To remove the scan lines across the picture I tried using a scart connection instead of the AV cable supplied, but this console is not compatible for some reason. In addition the AV(composite)cable only has one audio not both Left & Right. Honest opinion you would be better off buying a mega drive 2 and a Everdrive cartridge for better picture, sound and build quality. If your looking for a quick mess around and not too serious about retro gaming then this should satisfy your needs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Looks amazing
From someone here who paid £170 back in the day for this shape Mega Drive for my first husband from my mail order Catalogue. It also had a few games including streets of rage, golden axe etc... but he soon collected loads of games and its shockingly funny to see F1 being so blocky when it cost £50 when at the top of the charts. My boys loved Road Rash whilst I loved Bubsy bobcat. My first husband had all of the sonics including the pink knuckles one with the open topped cartridge to change the gameplay of the ‘other’ sonics. The mega drive was great fun as was the Master System before it which I bought for my teenage husband for £50 from a Nottingham WH Smith. Whilst our children are now 20 and 23 and into Xbox and PlayStations, I’ve just ordered this Sega so they can reminisce. They looked through the games list and read names out loudly between them when they found something they’d love to play again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nostalgic heaven!
Great console! Brings back some great memories from classic streets of rage to the rare game like cool spot and zombies ate my neighbours! Was a bit sceptical buying this initially, now the main issue I have is I spend too much time deciding which one I'm going to play! Looking forward to a bit of 2 player action on street fighter 2 with my mates (with a bit of alcohol thrown in ;)) plays well on my smart tv full screen too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
