Basic, but useable breathalyzer.
Seems like a basic, however reliable breathalyzer. It can take several 60-second "countdown" tries to get it ready to blow into, but I found that when that happens (the minority of the time), I just turn it off and back on again. It would be nice to have a 3-decimal point readout, but it's still going to tell you if your reading is something to give cause for caution (namely, driving while intoxicated). It works but not as well as I imagined
I bought the dot breathalyzer because I wanted quality. It only has 0.00 so after I go to red lobster drink 4 margaritas and a top shelf long island ice tea I blew a 0.00 I went and bought a 6 pack of mike hards and drank 2 of those before I got a reading. Blew a 0.08 which if I'm not mistaken is the legal limit to drive in mew york state. No way in h e double hockey sticks was I legal to drive last night so yes my wife did drive home obviously. Got home had a few heineken and twisted teas and this morning I woke up and blew a 0.04. It works but I was hoping for more than what I got for being in the ballpark of over the better half of $50.00 it should have another 0.000 to give more of a reading instead of having to get ridiculously intoxicated to get a reading. Not worth it and definitely wouldn't use this to judge if your loved ones can drive safely. Drink responsibly there is no substitute for safety.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This is a professional quality device and not a toy. Be aware that the device will have to be recalibrated every six months to a year depending on use, which I think involves returning it to the manufacturer.
