A clone of the original model, it proved very satisfactory.

It cooks things as it should, that's why it's called a Cooker. Take care, it gets very hot to the touch, it's not insulated on the outside as a conventional cooker might be. I find the three questions asked difficult to answer sensibly; Is it compact?, well if it were more so it would be SMALL. Is it easy to clean?, depends on how dirty you get it and how often you clean it. The higher the temperature you set and the longer the cooking period the more work to clean. Not convinced it uses less energy than other types of cooker (lack of insulation means escape of heat). We like it because we put it outside the house and avoid overheating the kitchen during hot weather. DO NOT LEAVE IT AND UNSUPERVISED CHILDREN IN THE SAME VICINITY !

  • The Jury is still out!

The cooker was well packed and is of clean design the racks included are lightweight but will last a while but the food tongs are a waste of time. The instruction leaflet is very limited and for someone who has not previously used a halogen oven, is not very helpful. As an example, there is no on/off switch and the procedure is to set the required temperature and the cooking will start when the timer is set but you have to work this out yourself. Two recipes are included in the leaflet. one of which is for Lobster, which of course is a staple food in the British diet and so for the uninitiated like me a halogen cooking book is essential. To date, I have cooked a rolled Turkey joint which worked out well by setting the timer for half the reccomended period, turning the joint and cooking again for the further time. The other item I have cooked twice is Oven Chips, which require a sprinkling of oil. However, I was not so impressed with the results as I did not find that the oven was any faster than a coventional oven, they have to be regularly turned and even increasing the cooking time on the second attempt left me with the impression that they were not completely done.

  • Quick meals

The halogen oven has been apart of my life for years, as they are cheaper than a full size oven and i am able to make a meal for myself using it. I once again turned to a easy usable halogen this month after my last one died after 9 long years.

  • Good value for the money

Not better , but as expected. It is a learning process to get the most out of it . I have cooked successful complete roasts in it I have under cooked veg but will learn from this . I have the one with the removable lid not by choice but because I don't have room under my cupboards , if you have room I would recommend the one with the hinged lid as the lid is quite heavy to hold when fitting it into the stand . It is easy to use just 2 dials but you have to remember not to switch the timer back to 0 if you have put too much time on , let it run out by itself I have not used my oven since purchasing it . I find it good value for the price as it includes stand riser etc I would recommend it .

  • Excellent cooker

Very pleased with my purchase. The halogen cooker holds a good capacity I cook for a family of 4. It has almost replaced my gas oven as the cooking results are excellent. I keep it out on kitchen work top as it is quite. Compact in size chips are great cooked in the halogen. Also it's great for warming the kitchen up acts like a mini radiator. Highly recommended I have purchased two one for myself and one for a Xmas present.

  • Fantastic Halogen Oven & Great Value For Money!!

Best thing I’ve bought for under £30. It’s big, and can easily fit a large chicken. Our oven is huge and takes ages to preheat. Now I can cook things straight away when hungry kids don’t want to wait!! Totally recommend, it’s brilliant and I’m so glad I’ve got it.

  • Its neat and sits on the work top, doest take up too much room

This is the second Halogen oven ive purchased, my other one died on me after 5 years of using, I didnt know what to replace it with, i read reviews on this particular model and it seemed most people were happy with it, I am starting to get used to it, my other one had a hinged lid and im finding it strange lifting the lid off this one to turn food over, i'm getting used to it but I prefer a hinged lid. Ive not used it for anything big, like a Chicken, so I cant comment how good it is, maybe I will try it this weekend.
