This product will allow a competent DYI’er to install vertical tile in a quick and efficient manner. Here’s a couple of hard lessons:
1. Layout is going to be your biggest challenge. There is no such thing as a squared wall, cabinet or mirror. Spend the time learning how to add or decrease a grout line to make your tile look ‘square’. Just like brick- the grout has an upper and lower line. Pick one to stay level/plumb, the other to add or take out.
2. Get a good rubber mallet. 3. Tap tiles frequently to keep them from creeping. 4.Buy 5 times more grout spacers than you think you’ll need. 5.Buy twice as much grout.6. Buy acetone cause you’ll need it to clean up. 7. I put glue at outside edges of tile because taking excess Bondera will teach you new lessons on finger strength.
