Item is very solid, almost at the point where some people would say it is unnecessarily heavy. However, I know it will be around for years to come. For this reason it is very well priced. Only criticism was the edges of the blade are not finished to a high degree. I had to get out some fine 'wet and dry' to sand the edges smooth to where it would not snag on any surface and felt OK if accidentally caught on my skin.
