Does what it says
I was a little skeptical that this was going to unify all my devices (some more than 10 years old) into a single system. For the most part, it did exactly what it said it would, although I was sometimes reduced to keying in a succession of codes to find out which one would address a specific source. The only things I couldn't make it do: a) Make a remote-to-remote transfer of a specific function on the original Humax FOXSAT PVR remote (turned out I didn't need to). b) At the moment, I also have a Bush terrestrial PVR assigned to a source button type that doesn't support the transport controls, but I'm pretty confident I can find another button that does. The big benefit is my wife can turn on the JVC TV, Humax PVR and Sony receiver from one remote, with two button-strokes. Most of the time, it's all we need. Dose the job even on old or obscure devices.

Good remote, shame no backlight
I have used OFA remotes for years now due to being able to create and upload my own device profiles via JP1 cable. I have or have had a collection of about 6 or 7 as I upgrade to a new one usually when wear and tear issues occur plus I have a remote upstairs and downstairs. This is a fantastic remote though my big downside is I am surprised to see there is no backlight which is unusual for a modern OFA remote. Backlight is important to be able to see buttons when you a in a low light situation. Apart from that, this is the best OFA I have purchased.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
