Simple fitness tracker with some smartwatch features! Water resistant and GPS too!
Easy setup and calibration (steps per mile), has a good Android interface and all the usual features included in comparable devices. At first I was a bit disappointed at the brightness visibility in the dark, and even though it is adjustable, I still keep it at the lowest setting as it is adequate to see when your eyes are adjusted to the dark. I wear it overnight to track my sleep patterns and if it were any brighter, it would be annoying. I killed my Fitbit by accidently getting it wet. I got this Garmin Vivosmart mainly because it is water resistant. I'm glad I gave it a try as now the Fitbit interface seems not as convenient to use as the Garmin. I like the built in battery gauge and battery life has been at least 4 days with one-battery bar still showing. The Fitbit Charge 2 was more like 3 days and the only way to tell how much battery charge was left was to plug it into the charger. The touchscreen is so much better than pushing a side button too. It is a bit thicker, but having the GPS is nice and the thickness does not make it uncomfortable. I recommend this tracker especially under $70 (refurbished) through the factory outlet and looks like new.
