Advanced Dungeons and Dragons: Core Rules 2.0 Expansion offers the user additional features not included in the original AD&D: Core Rules 2.0. The on-line book library provided in the original product is expanded with 11 new complete handbooks covering Bards, Druids, Fighters, Paladins, Priests, Thieves, Wizards, Rangers, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes and Halflings, the latter two combined in one handbook.<br><br>In addition to the 11 new handbooks, other new features include HTML versions of all the books in the on-line library, more than 150 custom kits from the Complete Handbook series, options to create custom classes and class abilities and the ability to convert character records to Rich Text Format (.RTF) files. A map set with building interiors has been added to the Map Maker II function as well as the ability to create multiple non-player characters (NPCs).<br><br>Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Core Rules 2.0 Expansion comes with a supplemental manual to the original product and relies on comprehensive on-line help files. An electronic manual that links to various relevant topics is provided in the on-line library as well. The printed pamphlet included with the game covers items such as custom classes, kits and abilities, group NPC generation, PC and NPC groups and the building interior set.

Not sure about "durable" or "entertaining", but..............
For all of those of us who prefer the REAL Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game (AD&D and THAC0), this is it! Just like the Core Rules 2.0, this expansion is a seamless addition to the rules we know and love. I like the inclusion of the "Player's" books and others. The "map-making" is simple and top-notch!
