Having been an Airfix user for the past 60 years, it is interesting to see how the moulding has stood up. Some very small pins parts are required to go into some very small holes. The holes are a little too small and break the part, just pressing in the pins. They need to be drilled out. My model is being part attached to a Hornby County Class 4-4-0 loco. The outside frames are not operational as Bachmann found difficult on their NRM model.

The "tooling" for this must date back to the 1960s. That said, I can only commend the [new] producer for providing a perfectly usable product. You (may) need to trim-off some excess "flashing". Thoroughly recommended.

the detail looks good there are not many plastic British locomotives available as a plastic kit, kit master is one of the few.

A good model in as much as the bits fitted together reasonably well BUT and the reason I would not recommend it is that you have to be a proficient modeller to build it.
