About this product

Product Information

One of gaming's most iconic first-person shooters returns as players once again assume the role of Captain B.J. Blazkowicz and battle the brutal Nazi menace in Wolfenstein: The New Order. Having spent more than a decade suffering from amnesia in an asylum, Blazkowicz escapes into 1960s Europe only to find a world where the Nazis won WWII and now control the entire globe. The action finds gamers embarking on a nearly impossible mission to infiltrate the Nazi compound Deathshead, and battling robots and giant super soldiers on a trek to take down General Wilhelm Strasse.

Unlike most contemporary first-person shooters, The New Order doesn't let players recover health simply by avoiding combat for a few moments. Health regenerates in small segments, and gamers must use a cover and lean mechanic to avoid taking too much damage, while locating health or armor to fully recover. Players can acquire armor by killing Nazis and then taking their helmets or by destroying robot dogs and using the leftover parts, and they can even eat dog food to increase their health. There are also number of perk trees that reward gamers with upgrades and new abilities depending on the way they engage in combat.

Good Game. Plenty of challenge, even in wimp mode. Good graphices but lacks in detail

If you have played the Max Payne game you'll see a little lack in details. For example, Max Payne, you can shoot and kill your partner or by-standers, not that you'd want to but it adds to the game. Shoot your partner in Wolfenstein, like by accident, nothing happens. Shots that miss your target don't cause damage to the surroundings like in Max Payne. This game has detailed depth but lacks with fine details that add realism.

    Unplayable thanks to Steam.

It is not possible to review this game since it is licensed by Steam. After I downloaded the intrusive Steam app, I was told the license key had been used and cannot be transferred -- even though I own the physical media together with the key card. In other words, once you buy a game from Steam, it cannot under any circumstances be transferred, and the only place for the media is the landfill -- Green Peace take note! Although you can buy and sell virtually any product -- after all it's the foundation of eBay -- Steam refuses to re-license. My suggestion is that eBay should not allow listing of Steam games, perhaps even new ones, because if you search the web for "Steam sucks" you will find many, many problems reported with the practices of this company. There is a way around this: Newegg (also on eBay) sells a copy that does not require the Big Brother of Steam, and is a simple key install -- and of course it can be transferred when you are done with the game. Also note that Steam ignores letters from the Better Business Bureau of Bellevue, WA since that is "not their market area."

  • Didn't learn the first go around

The first installment back in the day of this game "return to castle wolfenstein" the multiplayer part sucked, it had a spinoff know as enemy territory, don't have to sorry about this title multiplayer "sucking", because there is no multiplayer. Shame on me thinking every FPS out there had Multiplayer....lesson learned, what a waste!

  • Good game graphics

Game play excellent. Play this before Wolfensein II The New Colossus(this where the story began-sort of) Lots of surprises so stay alert.

  • Wolfenstein

Lots of good things about this new version. It is difficult to get through & the one thing I found out right away (after Googling) was that there might be a problem with the keyboard. That was it. Changed keyboards and was able to sprint and move on. Otherwise, so far its good.

  • Great game.

I’ve been a fan of Wolfenstein since I first played on 1991. And then I had a stroke in 2002 it was bad and I needed something to make Eye-Hand cow ordination and that was what I needed it took 1 1/2 yrs. .

  • Wolfenstein What can I say that has not been said?

Awesome game. If you ever played Return to Castle Wolfenstein then you will realize immediately this is not your old Wolfenstein upon first play. It seams easy until you get ate by a random dog or ETC. I will leave the surprises for you too find. Have Fun!

  • I like it better than the last Game

The best Wolfenstein made was the Return to Castle Wolfenstein, this one IMHO is a distant second best and Wolfenstein 3d or what ever the last version was called, sucked.
