Good function, a few flaws
I think this vacuum is doing a good job. It is convenient, not having to buy bags, but it makes a mess when you empty it. Better to do that outside, than straight into the kitchen garbage, because the dust gets all over everything. The other thing I don't like is the length of the cord. It seems very short, and has to be changed too often to get to the next part of the house. Except for the dusting brush and crevice tool, there is no place to store the other implements on the actual vacuum, so its inconvenient to go get them when you need them. I love the fact that it is very lightweight, and will stand up on its own. I also appreciate that it goes under furniture, like coffee tables, fairly easily.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Suction hood hose not so good
The suction is excellent, the cord is shorter than my old Shark and the hose is just as bad as my old Shark and maybe worse. How is it so hard to make a hose that actually expands easily instead of it being a battle? I have four other Shark vacuums (two robots, two uprights) but one decided to quit, so chose this as a replacement, mainly based on price. Already knew I wanted another Shark because of how well they have worked for me. This one is considerably smaller than the NV501 it’s replacing, seems to do a good job cleaning, quite a bit lighter than the NV501, but lacks the swivel ball that allows the 501 to steer super easy. Great machine - still have to cut away the long hair.
Love this product. It is light and powerful, easy to maneuver once you get used to the rotating ball, great on stairs. Cons: - the attachment holder is not included so you can't store the attachments on the machine without making another purchase. - For most area rugs the suction is super strong and makes use difficult. You have to vacuum it with the attachments instead of using it in the upright setting. - The rotating brush still will get locked up with long hair and you have to cut it off. An Impeccable Lightweight Mult-task Performer!!
I was a little reluctant to order this particular shark because I didn't think it would perform as well as other models but boy do I ever stand corrected!! When it came I put it together myself and it was very easy to assemble. I love that the attachments are secure and not falling off while running this! That was a constant problem with other sweepers. It is so easy to push, is extremely quiet, and the amount of suction is impeccable. I cannot believe how much dirt was actually on my floor!! Seeing is believing and this shark made a believer out of me! I have gone through so many shop vacs to sweep my steps and this eliminates that problem being a lift away sweeper. It isn't heavy to carry while I'm sweeping my steps and I love that they give you a long enough cord so I'm not pulling the plug to relocate it!! No more buying bags either! All my problems were solved with this sweeper. To say I love it is an understatement! If you are undecided on which shark to buy or any vacuum for that matter, trust me, you can't go wrong with this sweeper!! Solid vacuum at a very reasonable cost !
Solid and does the job...does not swivel as good as my last Shark (Red) but it is acceptable. The power cord is a little shorter not a big deal. The vacuum head itself is about 1 to 2 inches wider so it vacuums a larger space then the last one..all in all very solid, light with a lot of suction power...well worth the cost !Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fine vacuum for the price
Living single, I find this vacuum easy to use and very efficient. I especially like its “beakaway” feature where you can use a part of it as a hand-held vacuum for those tight spots, ceiling corners and closets. A compaint I have had with all previous ones I used was theyw ere messy to empty or used non-reusable bags, which can be costly. This vacuum is a LIFE SAVER. I can’t even begin to describe how absolutely incredible it is. So so so light weight- so easy to maneuver - it gets in small spaces and the suction on the vacuum is like no other!!! If you are looking for a mess-cleaner, a kid-picker-upper, a light-weight, an easy to empty- and all around PERFECT HOUSE HELPER- LOOK NO FURTHER.
