Instant hot water....
This is my 3rd Insinkerator. First one, left in the kitchen of a house sold long ago, had a brass tank that ended up leaking. Fortunately, I'm good with my hands and was able to solder the crack and fix it. This is my second stainless steel one for our present house- the old started leaking after about 10 years. Took that one apart, siliconed all the joints- it still leaked.... I think around the drain area. Had it all fixed, and then managed to drop it as i had it all back together- breaking the plastic quick connect fitting on top. You can't buy that part separately, anywhere- I tried. Dummy me. This newer model doesn't have a drain screw on the bottom- an improvement I think over probable leak complaints. So far so good on this one. Easy install. Make sure you plug it into the proper side of the electric switch plate under your sink- the bottom plug is usually switched for the food disposer, the upper plug is electrically hot like all the other plugs in your house. Instant hots are great from making a cup of hot cocoa for the kids, etc....
