Perfect for hurricanes
We live in hurricane prone Louisiana so I am always on the lookout for items to have on hand for when the power goes out. These lanterns are very bright, simple to use (pull open and they are lighted) and best of all: they use standard AA batteries. The battery compartment is easy to open and batteries pop right in. LIGHT THE NIGHT!
We have tornadoes in the summer, ice storms in the winter, always knocking out power. One of these lanterns will light a room. I personally don’t know how they can be this inexpensive. I just ordered 4 more for friends with storm shelters. The only thing I’d recommend, purchase some energizer lithium batteries as they will last and not leak. Low quality batteries will leak so if nothing else, tape the 3 batteries that came with it to the top of the box. We tend to forget things if not used. Great lanterns for power outage
The lanterns are definitely bright the batteries they come with are also pretty decent. I haven’t tested it for long term illumination at this point they do feel a bit cheap as far a build quality meaning I’d be cautious about having it fall from a counter top on to a hard surface. For the price you really can’t go wrong though if one breaks somehow you have 3 extra for a little over $20 can’t really beat that one thing you can’t do is adjust brightness when you pull the top it’ll automatically turn on but I’m not sure how reliable that’ll be over time overall you can’t go wrong for the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great lanterns for a fantastic price!
These lanterns are great! During Hurricane Ida, they were my salvation! My neighbors too! At least our end of the apartment building was lit up! For the week plus after the storm, I just had to change the batteries a couple of times, but they worked great! I was so glad I had them.
