Excellent support.
This is a really good quality backrest and is very functional, it supports, is very comfortable, multi-positional, is well constructed, lightweight and easy to use. The only downside is that we have a metal bed frame and it did ' clang ' a bit until we put a towel over it and that sorted that! However if you have a fabric headboard this should pose no problem to you. I suppose the fact that the only colour available is a quite vibrant Blue may also pose a problem to colour coordinate your bedding, but this is nit-picking a really great product. at last , support without the need for lots of pillows and constant 'plumping'. This back rest has more than sufficient positions to satisfy the need of most people. It is even a boon when children as well as adults, are suffering from a cough and cold and needs support to stay upright for a more relaxed and sustained sleep. It is not hard or uncomfortable on the body without the use of pillows so that is also an added bonus. Fold virtually flat and will fit under a bed, behind a door or on a shelf with no problem. Very easy to operate and not heavy so can be managed by majority of people. Are you broad shouldered?
This item is a very stable, well designed and well built solution for propping you up in bed to eat or read. It's adjustable slope is useful, and the simple mechanism for adjusting is well designed and effective. I am broad shouldered, and the unit holds me comfortably and securely for short periods. However, it offers limited 'wriggle room' for extended periods of use. I have a medical condition which requires me to sleep in a raised position, and the unit was less useful for this. Pillows are needed to soften the surface, and with the unit on top of the mattress your feet tend to poke out of the bottom of the bed as you unavoidably slide down the slope in your sleep. If you're restless you may find it knocks against the headboard or wall too. I tried placing it under the mattress topper, and this improved things a bit. Overall any problems are likely to be to do with your size and requirements. If you're big like me and need it for sleeping through the night you may have some issues to resolve. If you're nothing, or it's to assist you through periods of bed rest or simply to aid sitting up in bed, it's an ideal item. And finally it's good value.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very helpful for maintaining a sitting position in bed.
This Bedrest is very useful it helps those with limited mobility to swivel into bed and maintain a sitting position for reading and eating. It does need assistance from someone else for removal if one needs to lie down to sleep.
