We love them and recommend them to all our friends.
We already own a Dyson 10 animal. The Dyson 11 animal is an evolution of the 10 with its larger motor and battery coupled to its smart brush that detects the surface being cleaned and adjusts the power accordingly. It all works exceedingly well. Ww use the 10 in our downstairs where the surface is mainly wood and tile and the 11 upstairs where the surfaces vary and include carpet. We have tried Robotic systems in the past and have concluded that the Dyson cordless vacuums work so much better than even the best robotic systems. The job gets done quicker and better with a human in the driving seat. Not having a cord is the most valuable contribution a Dyson has over conventional vacuums coupled to their light weight and great maneuverability. Both the 10 and the 11 work better than our corded Vacuum ever did and they a re so easy to use and empty. We love them and recommend them to all our friends.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

My dog's shedding is no match for this vacuum!
The Dyson v11 Animal picks up my dog's hair amazingly well! He is shedding like crazy right now. The attachments are easy to take on and off and emptying the canister is a breeze. Storing the vacuum is the only downside, especially if you live in a small space such as I do. The included charging dock attaches to a wall but does need to be near an outline in order to charge. The canister will stick out from the wall at least 6" or so when hung on the dock which makes it a little tricky to find a spot to put it especially if you have limited wall space. I ended up putting the dock lower on the wall in the corner of my bedroom so it was hidden by my nightstand. I can't hang the high torque cleaner head on the dock since I mounted the dock lower so I just store that accessory under my bed. A real corded vac replacement. Actually better than my other big $$ corded vac.
I bought this vac against the wishes of my wife. She considers battery vacuums to be toys, incapable of actually doing deep cleaning. I bought it after trying a friends V11 and was sure my wife would feel differently after she tried it. When it arrived, she gave me hell. Then I suggested she vacuum a rug that she had just vacuumed with her corded vac. In a few seconds the Dyson had pulled a quantity of dander and dust from the rug that was obvious in the bin. She was skeptical, so she kept vacuuming the rest of the house and kept coming down to empty it. She was getting a LOT of nastiness out of "clean" carpets. Also, the HEPA filter does a great job keeping dust out of the air. Consumer Reports said this vac essentially did not emit any dust. The best it had ever tested. I do have some concerns about its longevity. Its so small and light but so high performance, I worry that everything inside is working so hard it won't last. But I did pay for it with an Amex card that will add 2 years to the warranty for a total of 4 years. Combine that with the substantial discount I got on eBay, and its worth giving a try. In summary. This is an AMAZING little vac that can easily clean a whole house on one charge. Just leave it on Auto and it will do a fantastic job.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Amazing Power
I didn’t think I’d ever consider a cordless vacuum but this V11 far exceeded my expectations. Cleans far better than the canister we have now. Carpet cleaning exceptional but most of house is hard floors. This vacuum does well on both. I would highly recommend this item and I’m thrilled not to deal with a power cord. Glad I Upgraded
I had the old style Dyson and it is about 20 years old and I decided to upgrade and am glad that I did. So much lighter than the old, and not having to have AC power is great also... and this new one really sucks up the dirt.... I also like how the floor attachment self adjusts for rugs and regular floors. The old Dyson had a flip switch to adjust this... so overall, at the present time. Free yourself from the cord!
I’m reserving a star because the wand would not release from the filter body. My neighbor lubricated it with silicone & it released better. The suction is great. Maneuvering is great. Hanging holder/charger great. Battery life is not a problem cleaning my 900 sf. I’ve accidentally released the dust bin twice. It holds a lot of Australian Shepherd fur. I love being freed from cord. Love the Dyson 11 Animal
I am thoroughly enjoying my new Dyson 11 Animal. I did a lot of research before buying this vacuum and am very happy with my purchase. It's lightweight. No hauling anything heavy to vacuum stairs. I like the size of the head and the way it fits into corners. Using the Dyson 11 has reduced my the time it takes to vacuum which is important as I'm employed as a professional housekeeper.
