Light weight and easy to use. Good generous and tactile handle. Blade is very sharp and it has that useful curve. Easily and safely stored with its holder with which it is packaged. It looks good. Very versatile with its uses. It came on time and well packaged too.

I find that Fiskars kit is always good quality and well thought out. Their axes are superb and this brush hook does not disappoint. It is far lighter than usual bill hooks and the handle is longer and oval for easy grip. As such it is very well balanced and allows for a very fast swing without having to train up first! Let's be clear, this is not a bill hook in the usual sense, but I find it less tiring and more accurate (without as much effort) than the classic models even though it doesn't have the pointy bit. The toe on the handle gives extra security to the grip.

I have several hedges, smothered by rushes, that I need to clear and this thing is amazing. It makes light work of chopping through even thick undergrowth. It's strong and lightweight (which I love, being a girl!) and beautifully designed. I would definitely recommend.

A great piece of kit, easily used one handed due to light weight construction which reduces work fatigue, a good molded handle that won't come apart from repeated use, fairly thin blade that slices through most slender branches and the blade has a non stick coating. When finished using the brush hook, simply place it in the locking case which prevents damage to the blade and to the other work tools.

As a coppicer I use a number of different bill hooks. I have the previous version of this too. Both are light weight but very well balanced. I can work all day with this trimming stems without fatigue unlike most wooden handled ones where half a day is more than enough. Great product.

It's called a brush hook. To me it's a billhook. I use these tools quite often. Most of mine are traditional, Blacksmith made items. They can be weighty and difficult to control until you get a 'feel' for them. I recently acquired a Fiskars and was quite impressed with it. It's longer 'grippy' handle feels secure in the hand. Although doubtful at first it would cut as well as my traditional Billhooks due to its lightness, it cuts well. This is due to the longer handle making the blade travel faster. Therefore, it cuts as well as a heavier blade with a short handle. Haven't had it long but I think it will become a firm favourite.

It’s easily handled and well balanced and is razor sharp. It slices through even quite thick branches in a few blows.it has a bill at the end which is great for removing sucker shoots on plants and trees without chopping at them, just hook them and pull down to slice them off.I carry the machete through my woodland to trim trees as I go so it’s ergonomic shape and light weight are a bonus you can use it all day long and not tire or get sore arms.

A good swing will take off a 20mm branch. The hook reaches round bramble's and severs them at the ground easily. The weight is good for hours of use. It holds a good edge, that will sweep through grassland, not just push it away. The coating scratches off easily though. The plastic body of my knife sharpener has gone though it. The retail packaging is a sorry scabbard. Okay for working out a van with it, but not for carrying on excursions, Bear Grills style.

I used today for the first time. Sharp. I very much like the sheath that comes with hook. Secure storage. Topped and tailed hazel from an overgrown hedge. One chop and the hazel was cut down to size. I have another Fiskars brush hook, more like a bill hook. That's been used a lot but still retains a keen edge. What I like about this hook is that the bill is more pronounced, making it ideal to drag branches towards you. Thus allowing you to pick it up to chop. Definitely a tool that will accompany me on my grounds work here in Mid Wales.

Received this item before the expected date, so can't fault the delivery. The item weighs nice, and sits well in the hand. Already used it for a few minutes on brambles and nettles, and it EASILY cuts through them. I can see this making light work of a big job
