A great piece of equiment to add to your kit

This is the tool to use if you have a big job on where a hammer or hand staple gun just won't do. This type of staple/ nail gun is for the smaller jobs. where the bigger nail guns are just too much force. Perfect for building furnature or garden sheds

  • Most critical review

    OK but unexceptional

It is ok for light work but doesn`t work particularly well with the very limited range of staples available. Staples are "Narrow" and only come in two lengths 19mm and 16mm which will not drive fully home even at max power setting. The instruction leaflet does not include a part number for the staples and Draper do not supply direct but will only provide a wholesaler`s contact details. Very frustrating and needlessly complicated. The nailer has the same lack of power problem but at least the brads are "Universal". Not a bad product, just not particularly good and poorly supported.OK

  • Great alternative to an expensive nail gun for lighter work.

I bought this to secure an outdoor carpet to the top of some decking. I was concerned that it wouldn’t have enough power to drive the staples into the hard deck boards. After a couple of attempts at different settings on the power control dial I got the right force required. To achieve a secure fastening it’s best to place a hand on top of the gun whilst pressing the trigger.

  • Weak nailgun

Having used it only a short time I have to say, very disappointed, there is not enough power to punch the nails in anymore than 75% of the way through and this is it new! I don't expect it to get better with use and have resigned myself to hammering in the last 25% to finish off.... Might be good for stapling paper or cloth but not much more.

  • Good for light nailing.

To say it was mains electric, there was now real power with it. I have cordless nailers at 18volt and they have a lot more power. Okay for nails up to 25mm but at 30mm in doesn't bury the nail.

  • Staple/Nail gun.

All round good gun comfortable to handle easy to reload. One small problem it sometimes does not drive 25mm nails right home need to finish of with small hammer. So far this has not been a problem.

  • Good for light work

Ive found it does the job ok. You do need the work to be well supported and to apply a reasonable pressure. If the work isnt well supported movement absorbs the impact and the staples/nails will not drive fully home. Its ok for the price if you want a lot of power you will need to pay a lot more.

  • Good nail gun

Its great for the price and gives you a good range of nails to select from, although it does feel a little underpowered on the largest size of nail. A little tip for you, get your nails from screwfix, great price and no postage costs as I am sure they will have an outlet near to you.

  • Fruit cage

I am 78 years young but I needed help putting wire mesh on the sides of my fruit cage! I could not hold the wire and hammer a staple in at the same time. So I purchased a Draper electric stapler to aid me. I found it light and easy to use and it did a very good job of holding and fixing the wire in place. If I was asked for any way it could be improved I would recommended a longer lead! It performed very well without any problems throughout with over 5,000 staples being used in two days.
