Good for price
The tripod packs up very well, it is possible to use the camera close to the ground whilst on the tripod due to its design, but be careful because the legs don't lock in place using it this way. When using it the right way up the legs can be used locked in two different positions.It is nice and steady whilst set up at its lowest height, as any other tripod it gets a little more unsteady, the taller you make it, but nothing to be worried about. The mono leg is very useful and has no impact on how steady the tripod is as it fits very well and locks tight. It is a very good, well made tri/mono pod for its price tag. It also comes with a well made carry bag.

Zomei Professional Tripod
I wanted a semi pro tripod and a move away from cheap pan and tilt 'sticky' tripods, we all know cheap tripods are just basic and tend to be cheaply made,and frustrating to accurately operate. There are several types and brands of this style of tripod on the market. So after some research, I decided on the Zomei brand. On opening I found it well packaged in a strong close fitting bag. The tripod is weighty, but that adds to its stability. I've was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this Chinese made tripod. Given the price I paid, everything works, the arca style 360 swivel ball head is really smooth in operation, the control knobs for the head are firm and tighten and release smoothly too. Like other tripods of this design, I can remove one leg and convert it into a monopod. Operation of the Zomei tripod is easy, intuitive and the ball head is really easy to manoeuvre and set. Fixing my DSLR to the arca plate takes seconds and there is a level bubble to set the camera perfectly. This tripod has 4 leg sections set by twist locks, overall height is around 65 inches without camera attached, which is perfect for me at 5' 7 inches. The 360 swivel head is super smooth and has an adjustable lock/release knobs, with degree markings around the base. Overall, I can sincerely recommend this Zomei tripod, the quality of engineering is excellent, operation is smooth and accurate, the weight is just right for stability and sturdiness. Zomei z 668, Great tripod!
Very pleased with the quality of the Zomei z668. The fittings & finish are good & the ball head is nice & fluid & comes with a nice velvet bag to protect it. Maximum height is better than most others in this bracket. It is reasonably lightweight & very stable. Much better than I expected & a bargain at £50. It also comes in a good carry bag. Very pleased with it

A tripod for all seasons
This is my second tripod. I bought this after reading reviews to ensure I bought a good one. I am not disappointed this time. Sturdy and positive. It works well as a tripod. I have tried the single leg mode which is ok. Price is acceptable or this quality. It needs last.
