Directions could be more accurate but the ChargePoint charger works well
Product arrived in original packaging and was exactly as described. Unfortunately the online manual at ChargePoint is still for the previous model, so the plug type, input cord length and power requirements are wrong. This is a problem if you use that information to start the install prior to the arrival of the device. This is also why I rated 4 stars instead of 5. Works correctly and the ChargePoint app allows you to set up a charging schedule, monitor your home use and find commercial chargers. I have it on a dedicated 50 amp 220 V (9.6 kW) circuit so it charges at the maximum rate, about 25 miles of range per hour. Not nearly as fast as the 150 kW mall chargers but fine when you are home for 10 to 15 hours and all you need is 4 most times and 8 for a full charge. Installation was simple. I installed it myself in under 2 hours once the parts were obtained. It requires 6 gauge wire, a 50 amp breaker, space in the fuse box, and the correct receptacle. It's installed inside the garage to prevent weather damage and prevent vandalism or theft of the unit or power. Since the unit plugs into a "dryer type" outlet you could take it with when you move.
