Perfect Ricer
I gave up with mashed potato because it just wasn't worth the nightmare of trying to get the potato light, fluffy, and creamy all at the same time. Everything I tried just turned the potato 'gloopy' or lumpy or just plain sad.
However I read a review of this particular potato ricer and so, despite my previous horrible encounter with a (reasonably expensive) ricer, I decided I would have just one last try.
Wow! Lots of beautifully separate little strands of extruded potato which it only took a minute or so with a spoon (and butter and cream, of course) to turn into light, delicate, creamy, fluffy mash. (Actually the best I've ever tasted - and of course I took all the credit :-) - wouldn't you?)
The clean-up was also a doddle because this ricer has been designed with the clean-up process in mind as well as its primary function of ricing potatoes.
Due to the excellent gearing in this potato ricer, ricing is easy on the arms and hands and a kilogram of potatoes was riced in a trice.
Can't recommend sufficiently highly. Treat yourself.
