Outstanding electro-pop nostalgia fix!
How many times have you re-discovered an album you used to listen to a lot in the past, but not done so for a while? This is one of those albums that takes you back to the days of those familiar Giorgio Moroder rhythms that are the foundation for this Sparks album. The lyrics here are very clever (typical of the band if you know them well) and the aforementioned rhythms are utterly infectious, with a fantastic selection of extended versions as well as single versions on this album that deliver quite a nostalgic punch. This album was a bit of a departure from the norm for Sparks, but in my view is one of the best pop albums you will listen to today. It is relevant, fun and ultimately hugely enjoyable.
