Torque wrench quality assessment
After buying a new bike I now had the need for a torque wrench. My old bike (very old) had no mention of torque settings, so I just used common sense when tightening things up. I am now (for my bike) aware of the correct required torque values, but not much of a clue what I would be applying - hence the requirement to buy a good torque wrench. After reading many reviews (as you are reading this) I decided that the "Sealey Torque Wrench Micrometer Style 3/8 Sq Drive2-24Nm STW1012" was a good compromise between the cheap and expensive ends of the market. I have made a very good choice - at my place of work, they place a very high standard on torquing up correctly - so much so that they regularly check the calibration of their torque wrenches with their in-house large 6" dial calibration checker. I have tested at the low end (2Nm) and at 2Nm increments towards the top end. All tests were carefully carried out (harder to test accurately at the higher torque settings) but throughout the whole range it was at most out by 0.2Nm and generally for torques below 10Nm it was out by less than 0.1Nm. I can highly recommend this Sealey torque wrench - excellent value for money, you cannot go wrong this choice. Stop your searching now and go for it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
