Great follow up film after Turbo Kid
Le Matos is a superior soundtrack band, and the music on this 84 film continues the Turbo Kid legacy. This 84 film is well acted and written, providing an excellent story and characters, with a feel for the 1980s. Even my wife enjoyed this movie. If you have not seen Turbo Kid, another film Le Matos did the soundtrack for, do your self a favor and watch it, if you like post apocalyptic 80s style movies you will Love Turbo Kid for the story, acting, songs, gore, and overall fine craftsmanship that is echoed in Summer of 84! "Summer" Comes to a Surprising End!
Summer of 84 will remind you of another movie called "Disturbia". with Shia LeBeouf. While that movie had an ending that was resolved, "Summer of 84" will leave your jaw dropped! With 4 boys who decide to play detective on one of the kid's neighbors who they suspect of being a serial killer, they get more than they bargained for. The first half of the movie builds on the boys friendship, the second half picks p on the suspense. The fact that the neighbor also is a cop complicates things.
