A film for cineastes!
The film makers, the Director, made a new film as a sequel. It follows the Dick science fiction story themes. The scenery and soundtrack set new standards. The packaging provides Bluray, DVD and streaming versions. A bargain. (This purchaser has reviewed this the day of receipt.)

Movie offered nothing new.
This movie had H. Ford(Deckard) as a sub-character. That was out of place. The movie used the same set-types as the original. Scenes were shot in very reduced light to blur set details. And Surely that society had advanced over the past many years. No, it was stagnant. I didn't like the acting. Some of the events were merely click bait as when Deckard's old girlfriend copy was shot in the head for no apparent reason other than shock value. It was not a fun movie to watch. It offered nothing new.

Excellent sequel and Harrison Ford too!
I was surprised when they first came out with this movie with Harrison Ford! Great film, especially the last third with Harrison. All the characters and story line fit very well for this long awaited sequel!

A little long but still a fine movie sequel.
Like most folks who buy this movie I am a Blade Runner fan. To be fair the original was a very hard act to follow but this movie gave it good try and all in all seceeded. A little slow moving at times and a little less satisfying the the original but worth the purchase price and the time. Would buy it again. The 3D was ok but nothing special but again worth a look and better then the 2D version for me although your TV will have a lot to do with this. I also bought the 4K version and not sure if was worth the extra cost. If you have a TV with very good to excellent upscaling I think I would pass as this is how I am tending to feel at this time. Will watch the 4K version again down the road to finalize my feelings on this DVD. Would buy again.

Ryan goslin didnt do it for me but as 30 mins into it, the world made a huge difference and till he (spoiler) found out its not him I loved him in it afterwards! Great great great much props it deserve 5 mic drops cause it’s on like donkey kong!!

An Excellent Follow up to the Original!
Look, I realize this movie wasn't a "financial" success at the box office, at least not what WB wanted it to be. That being said, neither was the original Ridley Scott film. It seems films are judged to either be successes or failures more and more by how much money they bring in, which if that's the only metric you're using, a lot of good to excellent films would be bombs. A good example is another Ridley Scott film, his first feature length motion picture "The Duellists". Now, I didn't see how much the film made when it was released in 1977, but the production budget was around a million dollars. And even if nobody saw it, it's a fantastic period piece (like Stanley Kubrick's "Barry Lyndon" -which was released two years before "The Duellists"). What a film makes doesn't necessarily mean it's a good movie or a bad movie. "The Transformer's" franchise sucks, they're horrible, redundant movies filled with the most base emotional trite story telling imaginable. Yet they're financially successful. "Blade Runner 2049" was not the financial hit WB thought it would be, as the original movie was geared towards a very specific sub-genre of science fiction. The acting in this film is equal to the original, as are the effects. The story telling does get a bit long in the tooth (as my review is getting to be, lol) but it overall satisfies and is compelling enough to have kept me engaged. This isn't a "popcorn" movie like "Independence Day" or any of the "Star Wars" movies (which, I love -mostly). This is a thought provoking, engaging movie that is mindful of it's origins and in continuing the story. I recommend this to those who like the original, and who can appreciate movies that are on this level.

Blade Runner 2049 An Instant Classic!
This film is terrific! It asks many questions, some of which are answered, some not. The darkness of the original film is continued here. It is a long film, but the length feels just right. The special effects are dazzling. It is not a film with lots of violence and explosions. Thinking and concentration are paramount in watching Blade Runner 2049. Highly recommended.

Illogical Plotting
Good Value and entertaining. However, plot difficult to follow at times, plus gave viewer idea of plot and then twisted it to the point of confusion. Did not show consistency of main character, changing plot illogically, and ending not clear. Should have ended differently. Whoever produced needs to learn and plot the picture in a clear a logical way.

Solid movie
Very well-thought out movie with great attention to even the subtlest details. Great cast, great acting, really good special effects. I liked the first film and the spin-offs, but this is by far the best in the series. Can't wait for a sequel.
