NotesDigitally remastered and expanded deluxe two CD edition of this 1982 album featuring a bonus disc of B-sides, alternate versions, outtakes and more. Disc One features the Iron Fist album, which contains a barrage of Motorclassics with production overseen by guitarist 'Fast' Eddie Clarke and Will Reid Dick. Unfortunately the album also saw the classic Motorhead line-up of 'Fast' Eddie (guitars), Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister (bass/vocals) and Phil (Philthy Animal) Taylor (drums) splintering soon after. Iron Fist, nevertheless, is a twelve-fingered mutation of an album with a clutch of gem-studded tracks like 'Heart of Stone', 'Go to Hell', 'Loser', and of course the title track, all reaching out to squeeze the living breath from all those who dare to hop aboard the Motorhead express. Sanctuary.
I’m much more of a comprehensive Motörhead fan than I used to be. I’ve been collecting many more older albums including iron fist. I love this one from the first note. It has high energy from the first note. Great guitar playing and Lemmy is Lemmy so this one is spot on for me. No regrets buying it at all.
