I have always been interested in the Cambridge Spies and this is an excellent account of the most interesting and enigmatic of them - Kim Philby. Ben Mcintyre has produced an authorative and engrossing work, thoroughly researched, as usual, and eminently readable. Spy fiction and film become gripping reality. reality; truth is stranger than fiction. A fascinating insight into the strange looking glass world of espionage, especially represented by the characters of Nicholas Elliot and James Angleton.
