An excellent read for those interested in a period when racing cars were just that.

A Great Read
An excellent read, much better than the only other book by this author that I have read. It covers several aspects of interest to m - motor racing, the social history of the moneyed classes in the first half of the 20th century, and the prelude to World War II. Seaman married a German woman, having joined the Mercedes team, but was killed in a crash at Spa three months before war broke out. Although it sounded like he remained a patriotic Englishman, the declaration of hostilities would have undoubtedly put him in a dilemma and it would have been interesting to find out how things would have panned out, had he lived.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
