  • Lots of info about 1900-1948 horse wagons and lorries

This is a really useful book, with plenty of information about horse and early motor vehicles of the GWR. Although it is about the GWR, the info is broadly applicable to other railway's operations, and carriers generally from the late 19th century up to 1948, and it does also include some of these surrounding details. Lots of photos and a full set of plans for the horse-drawn carts, plus some for early electric vehicles as well as steam wagons and petrol and diesel lorries and vans.
