It's all about the looks
They look great and built fantastically well, ride smooth as well. But.. they are also super-narrow and if that's not enough there's a little tooth on the edge of the pedal that constrains your foot and doesn't even give it a chance to hang off a bit (not that you'd want that anyway). Also I'm not a fan of one-sided pedals that can't work both ways (top/bottom) - it's just really uncomfortable to pedal when it's upside down and also quite hard to turn it the right way even with the little tooth. So yeah, it's all about the aesthetics and your personal preference (and width of your feet of course).
