Handy lockable topcase
I bought this to hold my helmet whilst shopping this fine for purpose, I had a topcase on my old bike which was square which I found I could keep quite a lots of bits this doesn’t have quite as much room as it tapers at one end but will still hold lights and lock as well as helmet

Check carefully before you buy...
I bought this box to fit on the back of my mountain bike, but even though my rack is fitted a long way back from my saddle, I couldn't mount the box fully on the rack, because if I did, I wouldn't be able to open it! When you lift the lid, it hits the saddle. So you either have to mount it WAY back (in my case it would have only been half on the rack and half hanging off the back of the bike, looking ridiculous), or do what I did and carefully cut half-way through the hinges so that I can open the lid slightly, then slide it forward off the hinges and lift the lid completely off. In addition to that, the mounting brackets supplied with the box are a very poor design, and the mounting holes pre-drilled in the box very strange - there are 2 sets, but one set have holes too close together to use with the brackets!
