It's very accurate I measured it against my three tuning forks and it reads spot on. It's very light and compact. It seems sensitive just using it's internal microphone. It has an input socket but no output so no 'loop through'.Calibrate facility. It will also play audibly all the chromatic notes if required! Excellent! (I used it for harp and guitars)

The Korg CA-1 Chromatic tuner is what I'd call "a proper old fashioned guitar tuner" in that it doesn't clip onto the headstock. It's more like the tuner I used in the early 80s, it's powered by a couple of AAA batteries (supplied) meaning that I can use re-chargeables, and not have to worry about a little button cell quitting on me. Being a chromatic tuner finally allows me to really be in tune when I use my trusty capo or decide to stretch out to an alternative tuning. The familiar 180 degree tuning arc is aided by LED's that signify flat/in tune/sharp. The belt and braces way of doing things that my old but similarly priced "Kwik Tune" tuner lacked, and it wasn't even chromatic either. Korg is a well known name in the music world so I expect this piece of kit to stand the test of time as long as it's not thrown about too much. At this price, can you really go wrong?Read full review

This is my second CA-1. I use it for sax and trumpet so need a chromatic tuner rather than a guitar tuner. It will pick up your instrument when there is other music / sound in the room but you need to be close to it. I use a clip on tuner for band work. This is a great little tuner.
