    mealworm feeder

i use a mix of dried meal worms [not live], nut nibbles and small sunflower hearts, my robin loves it, as do the other birds. its of usual, supa standard, tray is always handy, has one standing perch and also a normal feeding hole, so birds have a choice. i am in a chair or wheelchair when downstairs and always watch the birds [not the normal pigeons though, ewww, sorry, i have a fear of them]. and i get much delight in watching birds, especially when my robins feed from this feeder and, it didnt take long for them to find it and get used to it. easy to take lid off to clean and fill, tray can be tricky to get on, but worth it. tray has a few small holes to allow water to escape. dearer online than off, but if you have no choice, then buy it online, your birds will love you for it. plus we need more people feeding our beloved birds nowadays, as they are in decline, with more folk who have on grass and concrete gardens with no shrubs/trees, bird tables or feeders.

    Disappointing

This has been slightly disappointing for me. The birds couldn’t get at the mealworms easily, something amiss with the feeding hole I think. I tried suet pellets, they were easier to get out. The best part is the tray as I can load that with the food the birds can’t get to.

  • Flimsy feeder.

The small birds loved it, then the magpies came and destroyed it. The greedy beggars couldn't get to the food easy so they managed to unhook it so it dropped to the ground and the tray broke off and can't be fixed back on. Very flimsy and loved watching the small birds tucking in but it didn't last.

  • Describes it accurately.

The birds ought to be writing this review as they found it almost immediately and has attracted many regular visitors.

  • Disappointing feeder.

Very difficult to attach tray. Very lightweight plastic feeder. Bird knocked it off secure branch. Tray fell off and when I tried to reattach it I found that one of the 2 tiny catches had broken off. Had to bin it.

  • We're all happy now

It has attracted many more birds than its predecessor. They find it easier to get at the seeds. And it is easier to refill And it keeps the seeds dry
