Nippers are more successful than most other traps
I use these in my garage which is plagued by mice. I use other traps but these are the best. They are easy to bait, peanut butter works well. You can just scatter bird food around them and the mice will simply walk over the trap. Setting them needs a little bit of skill but its worth it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Effective but...
Extremely difficult to safely set. The rod that holds the snap bar in place until hopefully triggered is prone to ‘slipping’, this results in some very sore fingers when trying to set or place. Accidental activations are also commonplace after placement. All the Little Nipper caught was fingers and fresh air. Haven't used these yet because the single little nipper I already had did the trick! That's why I opted for this brand. Efficient and as humane as killing anything can be! Significantly out-performs lesser / cheaper products by being better designed / made and very sensitive. The most canny mice, perhaps the highly evolved and intelligent ones as seen on Hitch Hikers' Guide to the Galaxy, have perhaps found a way of inserting a wedge under the trigger plate, because despite this product's design and build quality, from time to time the little blighters STILL manage to steal the bait without triggering the trap. Nevertheless, probably still the best on the market.
