Pleased with product, initial purchase had a faulty rear camera. Returns process was good - however the original order came with a suction cup bracket. The order I placed as a replacement for the faulty one did not. Communication with NextBase eBay shop was not effective when pleading to the operator for a suction cup bracket to be sent, this based on the original order having one. Refurbished not always the bargain you expect
Rear camera was totally dead, I had to send the whole lot back. Having said that, in preparing to install I'd gone through all the settings and found it very easy to navigate and the picture was really clear. I'm not sure I dare try another refurbished one though, considering it's supposed to be checked and tried in quality control. Good as new but half the price
Nextbase dash cams are always good. This refurbished unit looked like new in original packaging unmarked. Paired up with an Amazon Basics U3 micro sd card (about £10) it works great. Much better night vision than my older Nextbase dashcam. My only criticism is that the rear facing camera mounts on the right hand side only so if your vehicle is right hand drive & you want to conceal it behind the mirror to avoid distraction you have to have it more on the drivers side. Decent value if you want a front and rear camera
I have had a Nextbase before and this works mostly as well as its predecessor. I hadn't realised that this model did not connect to the app, but there's no functionality that I'm missing. I never used Alexa on the last one. Compared with the one I used to have, the rear-facing camera is slightly trickier to set up and use, even though it looks identical.
