The handle shaft appears wobbly in the brass guides ( I expected a tighter tolerance here for squareness of the re-cutting process, which is the whole point of using the tool in the 1st place). Excellent fixer for leaky taps that use the older washer type fitting
Plagued with dripping taps that a new washer doesn't fix? Well this is your tool you need, you simply turn off the water feed, undo the tap body and then using one of the two die's fit the tool and using gentle movements carefully grind the worn tap seat back into a nice clean surface then refit the tap with a new washer and your tap should be as good as new. However, this won't replace worn away metal, if your tap seat is badly worn then you will have to replace the whole body but this will renovate a good number of dripping taps into good as new and if you consider the price of this versus the price of new taps plus the pain of fitting etc, its a money saver for sure. Be gentle with the tool, you want to remove as little as possible and too aggressive can damage irreparably the tap sealing seat so gentle gentle until you see a nice uniform shiny seat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
