    Excellent quality. Excellent shave, but be careful..

    I’m already own a Merkur 37C and decided to upgrade to a slant head as my work requires me to shave daily - sometimes twice daily. I had heard that the slant head gives a closer shave to a stiffer bristle which would hopefully do away with the second daily shave. If I’m honest, I don’t find it shaves any closer, but it does still give me the same excellent shave. So my son has now inherited my old one. Excellent quality razor but needs to used with care until you get used to it. The choice of top quality blade is crucial as I’ve already discovered to my cost ⛑

    Fine, but not exceptional

    This arrived quickly, had a good weight to it, is clearly well-designed and opened up easily. I used it with a feather blade, some shaving oil and some Gilette shaving soap. The feather blade seems to make the most substantial difference. One needs to be careful with initial positioning and contact. I found, however, that I still needed several passes with, across and against the grain of my facial hair to achieve a smooth outcome, especially under the left jaw line and mid-neck (I'm right-handed). The result was quite a raw finish. I'm going back to less costly and time-consuming foam and Bic sensitive disposables and selling this purchase on.

    Could be the only razor you need

    Excellent quality product. This gives a super close, comfortable shave - as good as razors many times the price. Does require a little experience, but nothing to be frightened of - very comfortable and efficient rather than aggressive. A lovely razor, could be your one and only!

    Very smooth & easy to use razor. With right technique not aggressive at all! Even beginners can use it. The secret is to place blade correct (just google it). Also the head finish is 3-4 stars, but I don't care about it =)

    Superb product...

    I started DE shaving in April 2016, and my first de razor was the Merkur 34C HD,of which i've been totally delighted with, i then aquired a few other brand razors to add to my shaving den..so i decided to purchase a slant razor, knowing that the 34C is a excellent Razor.i went for the 37C..and i must say i'm totally amazed on how efficient this is i tried it out today and it performed superbly, no irritation what so ever, ok it's a very efficient razor, wonderful shaving results.i wouldn't recommend to a beginner, but to someone familiar with DE shaving this is a wonderful razor.

    Very impressive razor.

    I started shaving with an Edwin Jagger DE89 in 2014 and stuck with it for three years and really enjoyed shaving with it. I fancied trying a new razor and did a bit of research and heard good things and was intrigued by the slant so made the purchase. Bluddy amazing. I can shave everyday with a two pass down and up and get pretty much zero irritation with a feather blade and a splash of aftershave. With the DE89 I could never do daily shaving.
