The GY6 engine is now one of the most widely used roller motors in the 50cc four-stroke range. Whether an import or construction market roller, nearly all vehicles are equipped with the GY6 engine. Differences can be found with 10 or 12 inch tires on the rear wheel, the resulting V-belt lengths or vehicles with / without secondary air system (exhaust gas recirculation, SLS for secondary air system). The sliding shoes carry the variator on the dome. If they are elaborated, they should be replaced within the scope of the inspection in order to enable an optimal switching behavior. Variator
The plastic hold gets worn out,and loose. So this "renovate" the variator, and stays in place.Holds forever,but wear,and should be changed.
