Don’t waste your money
I bought this item because of the Kitchen Aid brand name which I thought stood for quality. I have used it about 10 times to slice only hard boiled eggs and one of the cutting wires is bent and stretched out of shape. Seems like such a simple tool to make to last for at least several years worth of use!
