20ºC of difference!
I have a Clevo W355ST laptop, that is a medium range gaming laptop (so the cooling system has to cool down an Nvidia 765M and the i7 4700MQ) and I thought it required a repaste after 4 years. I tried a CPU stress test before the repasting and the CPU reached 99ºC quickly and it had to use the thermal throttling. After the repaste, it didn't go over 77ºC so I guess that's a pretty good indicative. This test was only for the CPU. When I played games (fallout 4, etc) that required CPU and GPU, the CPU reached 95ºC after 30 minutes playing but no thermal throttling! Before it had to do it all the time. Apart from the good performance of the paste, it's pretty easy to apply, so I recommend it to everyone!!
