Too cheap, some good quality, but let down by poor internals
This shifter is NOT non-indexed, it has 20 clicks which didn't work very well with my 8-speed claris derailleur. Also, the pawl inside (which makes it click and stop) is plastic and poorly shaped, the one I got was very rough and sngged in one direction. I tried taking the pawl out to convert it to be a friction type shifter, but the friction adjustment was either too much to shift or too little to hold the return spring of the derailleur. I don't think it would have lasted very long either because then it is a metal plate sliding on a plastic one. The silver plate is a bit sharp next to your thumb, too. The other materials are all good quality, but let down by above issues.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
