Must have upgrade for first gen SV650's!
The original springs and spacers are designed for a sub-100lb. rider, not nearly enough for most any adult. These springs add far more spring rebound due to the longer spring and make for a much stiffer ride. I haven't hit the bump stops yet with these springs, they feel great. I installed these in conjunction with a set of all balls fork seals and dust seals, as well as some Harley Type E fork oil (Just because I had it available in the garage).

Suspension Upgrade Suzuki Intruder VL1500LC
Replacing the oil was the hardest part without removing the fork tube from the yoke. Getting the preload spacer to the right height took some rocket science. Getting the whole she-bang to compress into the tube while turning the fastener almost dislocated my shoulder. Its best to have another friend help you when doing this. Wow, night and day difference
Just picked up my bike from the shop, had my fork seals replaced, but also had my mechanic replace the fork springs with progressive springs 11-1145, my bike is a 09 Vulcan 900 custom, and I have 20000 miles on it, after picking up the bike, I took it on a road test, WOW, night and day difference, the handling has improved dramatically, and no front end dive while coming to a stop, It rides better than it ever has, and I'm the original owner, I highly recommend these springs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Making it fit
