Didn't sound as good as real Apple earbuds
These didn't really sound as good as the apple earbuds I already have, but I guess it's to be expected from the price you pay. It came in an apple looking box, but the earbuds felt and sounded different, so I don't think they were truly Apple brand earbuds.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Horrible quality compared to other apple earbuds
There is definitely something wrong with these. It’s as if the tempo is turned way up, and bass is turned down. Like you are listening to music playing in a bathroom. I compared the audio quality against the same type of original headphones bought with an iPhone. I used a new iPad to test both. The audio quality of the pair that came with an iPhone were significantly better than the ones I purchased here. They appear to look exactly like the original apple earbuds. Don't seem to be like my old ones....
I have purchased four sets of "Authentic Apple Earpods" from four different sellers and they are all lighter weight and less-bassy than the earpods that came with my iPhone 5s a few years ago. They still sound good and have better high notes (probably because they are clean) but don't seem to be as good as the old ones I still have and use daily. I'm assuming because all four pairs are identical that they are genuine but i never heard anything about apple changing the earpods and I have had one pair quit on me sooo... Not really sure what to think here. I guess I'll just keep using my old ones until they break. These earbuds are defected
These earbuds are easy to use and work well, but trying to put them back in the case can be difficult. If you try to put them back in correctly, the remote wont slide in the mold correctly. Also, one side of the earbuds are longer than the other, but its not that bad. They have good sound quality and are a good product as long as you don't plan on putting them back in the case.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

bought 2 just in case, both have terrible sound
As a music lover, I have used over 10 different kinds of good earphones and headsets, and I am also really familiar with the original EarPods' sound. This is DEFINITELY NOT the genuine apple EarPods, although they might look the same. The sound is ABSOLUTELY UNBEARABLE. I bought 2 of these, and both of them had the exact same stupid sound quality. There is no "coincidence" or "bad luck". I like apple EarPods because they have relatively OK sound quality and they are easy to use and travel with. OEM cables that feel extremely cheap.
I bought 2 of this, both of them sounded like the had parts loose on the inside. After connecting to my iphone or computer system, they sounded ok, until the person I was speaking to told me that it sounded like there was a helicopter in my room. When I raised the volume to max I could hear static on the background also. This was 2 out of 2. 100% Failure on my case. Review of earbuds
These ear buds are very inexpensive and serve the purpose listed. The earbuds fit well and feel like the real apple ear bud. The only negative is that the wires that go from the earbuds to the main wire are very thin. Great ear buds but I wasn't really a fan of the earwax
I thought that the ear buds would be pretty well cleaned, but instead there were a fair amount of scuffs on the wire. There was also ear wax lined in the little speakers. Very gross but I'm still using cuz they work great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Suspect these are not genuine, but cheap enough to not matter
I suspect these are not a genuine Apple product but the packaging and design is very close. I can tell the following differences between these and my known genuine earpods: 1. The cord is flimsier, particularly where it connects to the ear bud part. 2. The sound from the ear buds is of a noticeably lower quality when compared side by side on the same exact song. 3. Specifically, less bass and more of a...tinny sound (The resulting sound seems to lack body and weight giving the impression of a thin or metallic sound.) Because they are so cheap I can forgive all of this and suspected they were not genuine before ordering. Regardless, they will serve their purpose for casual listening while traveling on planes and such when I don't really feel like messing with or carrying around more expensive over ear headphones.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
