For those that have not tried the Parrot Zik headphones but may have doubts, let me try and reassure you that they are a truly fine pair of headphones. First off let me say that I have never been a headphone enthusiast, always preferring a loudspeaker instead. And that is still true. But if one must own headphones then I cannot recommend these enough. The sound a terrific along with what I think is the best noise cancellation out there. It is extremely impressive when travelilng - planes, trains or automobiles and it really shines. And these are the places I use the Parrot Ziks the most. BTW, this is the first model 1. I have not tested the two or three, though it seems to me the upgrades are modest and maybe not worth it at this point. Stick with the 1 and you'll be happy especially as you can find these for as little as $80 refurbished, as I did. They are perfect and at that price this has to be one of the great values in audio. You will see that a number of people complain about the short battery life, for me it's close to about 5 hours with everything on, and also you'll see complaints about the lower audio quality for phone calls. Both of these critiques are true but in my opinion not that big of a deal. Certainly not for $80. Can't recommend the Parrot Zik 1s enough!Read full review

I got these to replace my lost Bose 15s so my point of comparison is pretty high and they pretty much do the job I got them for so I can't complain too much. Just a few things: Good: • Wireless • adjustable noise cancellation and equalizer levels • Nice looking Bad: • Hella short battery life. Need to be recharged every couple of hours • Sound can be 'boomy' or 'echo-y,' especially on the app soundstage settings • Mic quality on calls is not great • Leaning your head back makes the bluetooth connection temporarily cut out • Control of on/off & volume via magnetized side panel is clever but not without learning curve. • Accidentally touching magnetized side panel produces unwanted results.

Not a lot of experience with bluetooth headsets. Only commenting based on these and Beats by Dre Wireless. These definitely are better in looks and sound. the Dre's have more bass and have a "modern" and "sporty" look... and endorsed by athletes. But the parrots have sweet functionality on the ear pads (volume up/down, skip/back & the design is minimal, which i prefer. The dre's do come with more cords that could be useful (mic'd especially) but that is minimal for me b/c i have separate gaming headsets and dont need this for phone use. Overall happy with my purchase. Did not give it a full 5 because I dont know if there is better out there. Definitely recommend if you can afford the high price, but if youre deciding between the beats (over-priced IMO), then i say these. Only reason I tried these is because i found a good deal on ebay.Read full review
these are great earphones and does everything in that video does.the blue tooth shut of just by taking the off. Sensors to eliminate noise from outside "Noise canceling" For the price the sound is great i would not say they are better sounding then a 1400 pair its very well built and heavy.the reason i bought them is the cnet review. The seller was very nice to me.I would take these over dre's earphones any day of the week.I wound like the sound to be better and leave everything else alone. disclaimer I do have high-end equipment that i haven't hooked up yet .right now they a hooked up to my iphone and a Logitech 5.1
I have been using the Bose QC15 headphones for years and love them, but these offer so much more. The sound quality is comparable, but having the bluetooth cordless connection and all of the additional features such as touch controls and the ability to talk on the phone make them so much more useful. The app has some great features but doesn't currently support the iOS6 upgrade. They are a bit heavier than the Bose, which becomes more noticeable after several hours on a plane, but otherwise are very comfortable. My only complaint is that they don't come with a hard case, just a soft pouch. This should be included for $400.
