It's a bit light and flimsy but for approximately £20 including shipping it's hard to complain. It does exactly what it says on the tin and does it well. Handle it with care and keep it in its box when not in use and you will be happy. Great for home garage occasional use but not sturdy enough for professional garage use. I'm happy with mine and would purchase again.

Title says it all really, hook it up to a 12v supply, ( not necessarily the vehicle's battery) clip the inductive sensor onto the prescribed plug lead, ( no need to disconnect, engine can even be running !) point and press the trigger. If you have remembered to highlight the timing marks on the engine and pulley they show up vividly whether in darkness or bright light. Excellent bit of kit .for the amateur user on cars requiring strobe ignition timing .

The lamp is much brighter than I expected and can be used outdoors. I connected the crocodile clips to an external 12 volt battery put the sensor on the plug lead and it worked perfectly.
