easy to use and store

Excellent stuff fir your log burner!
I needed BLACK fire cement to replace the stuff my HETAS installer had used when he installed our log burner 12 months earlier. The bead he installed between the flue outlet spigot on the fire and the flue pipe started cracking within a couple of months and over last winter it got ti a point where bits of cement started falling out. Not good! Having spent some time first of all finding black cement and secondly establishing product reports giving satisdactory results I chose VitCas and so far I’m delighted I did. 1. It stays black unlike many which apparently go grey when heated. 2. It’s easy to install, very malleable and easily finished. 3. It has not (so far) cracked or otherwise failed. Had a few cracks in our fireplace firebrick mostly small but 3 deep & a small piece missing using the Vitcase cement was so very easy went on smoothly i just followed the instruction on the tub the firebrick now is almost as good as new. Excellent stuff !
Bought this to repair broken and crumbling gas fire grate. It worked a treat, it's best to use it like a putty and with dampened fingers as it's too stiff to apply otherwise. Delighted with the result, was able to build up and reinforce it. Product has no smell and washed off hands easily.
