Amazing value at these prices..
Until Nikon brought out the D500 last year, the D300S was their top-of-the-range Pro-Am DX camera and cost some £1,500 new. It has a magnesium alloy body that's built to last, and contains all of the electronics of the D3 family with the same menu system and control layout, so is instantly familiar to users of those cameras. This was bought as a backup camera to my D4S with the added benefit of the DX - sensor providing effectively a longer reach with the telephoto lenses I use, whilst preserving a 12MP image. This example was unmarked, had obviously been very well cared for, and barely used. It came boxed with all the original accessories, some of which were still in their sealed bags. To be able to buy cameras of this specification and quality capable of producing stunning images at the price they're now available for is simply amazing, and a real bargain.
