Works well, but give it time
I used this to capture pest snails in a 200L aquarium. Every day it attracts about a dozen snails, especially babies. It took a few days in the tank before a good amount of snails where on the device. Simply hook it out with the line included and scrape the snails off, restock the food and drop back in. I only didn't give it 5 stars because it doesn't exactly 'trap' small snails. They are free to enter and leave at their own will. It does attract fish and shrimp but they move away when you pull the trap out the tank. Nevertheless a cheap and easy product to solve a common problem.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Supposed to be a snails catcher
This product won’t catch the snails. It is designed for the snails to cling on and then you haul it up using the fishing line which is provided. I had mine in the aquarium over night and didn’t catch any snails.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent product and works well.
Easy to use device to catch snails in the aquarium. the bait that is included attracts the snails into the trap and all you need to do is lift the trap out of the tank using the cord provided and clean the snails off. Don't leave in over night
Bait it, and lower into tank. For a hour or so, then the lights go off. Then remove, if you leave in it over night. The snails will have wandered off, as it doesn't trap them.
