The Rokinon 12mm T2.2 Cine Lens is a wide-angle lens optimized for digital cinematography. The lens produces an image circle that will cover APS-C sized sensors or smaller. For use with a follow focus unit, the focus and aperture rings feature industry-standard 0.8 pitch gearing. The aperture ring is also de-clicked to allow for smooth iris pulls while shooting. Focus, aperture, and depth of field markings are on the side of the lens to aid focus pullers, who typically operates on the side of the camera. In Canon M mount with an angle of view of 95.7°, the lens is well-suited for shooting landscapes, architecture, and for use in tight interior locations. It's fast maximum aperture of T2.2 also makes the lens suitable for shooting low-light conditions.

I ask a lot of this lens, and it rises to the occasion!
I own a Lumix G7 MFT camera that I use mainly for film/video purposes. Most times I am filming dancers. That being the case, I am often outdoors or indoors in a club type atmosphere filming. My filming conditions are unpredictable and never perfect. I've used Rokinon lenses before on Canons and was not disappointed. The 12mm Cine lives up to the Rokinon name is quality of construction and image. For the price, it just CANNOT be beat. Would I like more sharpness at the edges? Sure! But considering the price point of this lens, it performs much better than the price would suggest. If you're looking for a great wide angle cine lens and are on a tight budget, go with this all around great lens!
